![]() Mission Statement Bush-to-Base Bio-Informatics is an electronic architecture designed to facilitate the study of the dynamic interrelationships between animals, humans, and the environment. Bush-to-Base recognizes these three components (animals, humans and the environment – including plants) as the three key dimensions of life here on the third rock from the sun. We believe they are dynamically and perpetually interwoven with one another, and refer to these relationships as “The Public health Triad (also known as the “Triad”). As such, the “Triad” serves as an important and useful organizing principle for our research and educational endeavors. The mission of Bush-to-Base Bio-Informatics is to utilize Information Technology (IT) to study and describe the dynamic interrelationships of the “Triad”. We believe that, through the power of IT, we can provide a methodology for integrated assessments, thereby bridging gaps between the three dimensions of the “Triad” and providing a more holistic view of life on planet Earth. Also, Bush-to-Base Bio-Informatics harnesses the IT to develop innovative educational tools that bridge the gaps between research, education and dissemination of information in the biological sciences. |
